I converted some music in iTunes on my laptop with Sidify. I import them into pemiere pro. Lay them into a video. But, repeatedly now, the tracks are no longer in the edited piece and in the media browser window there is a "?" In the edited piece, the keyframes I used to mix the audio are there but not the tracks themselves. Why do these tracks keep disappearing?
As Peru Bob, I suspect they're not actually on the local drive of the computer.
Perhaps it's a misunderstanding of what "importing" a file into PrPro does. It makes a link to where the file exists on-disc, and when working the project, Premiere then knows where to find the file. It doesn't actually copy any media into the PrPro project file.
