Hi I have been editing for about 12 hours straight and then prem pro has deleted my file, it started when I was trying to export the video and a tab popped up saying something like some files need to be changed or replaced I clicked ok thinking it would be fine and then ppro crashed and when I loaded the project back up the whole video said offline. i searched my whole pc every file i watched and looked i even used file recovery programs and everything but nothing I can't find this file and I am extremely angry.

Hello Jayden,
it's a very rare issue that doesn't apply on the latest premiere pro versions.
Which version are you using?

Premiere does not delete files on it own.

I think that is your answer.

What type of video material have you lost, which harddisk did you copy it to?

My guess is that your export file had same name and path as your source file, so by clicking Ok you killed the source, which lead to PPro crash. And of course there is no source anymore.

Too often people hit OK without reading the popup box properly, and unexpected things happen.
