Need HELP with file requirements for film festival!

Hey guys. My short film has been selected by a Brazilian film festival and will be screened on a TV network (no in-person screenings, given the current circumstances).

They sent me the requirements for the file I must provide them. I edited the short myself, but I'm a total newbie when it comes to video encoding, so I'm hoping you guys could help me out.

I use Premire Pro CC. How would I go about achieving the following settings?

Codec: XDCAM HD 4.2.2 CBR 50 Mbps Long Gop (equivalent to MPEG-2 422 P@HL)

Resolution: 1920 x 1080i (interlaced)
Frame rate: 29,97 (Drop Frame) (the channel does not accept 23,98 fps)
Field Order: Odd (Upper/Top Field First)

Chrominance: 4:2:2

Wrapper: MXF Op1a

Timecode: Start – 00:00:00:00 - Drop Frame (DF)

Audio Codec: PCM 16 or 24 bits @ 48kHz (1 channel per track)

Stereo Audio (HD file with 2.0 audio) PCM 48kHz 16 or 24bits mono track

MXF-op1a for the format.

Then perhaps down in the Video tab, set the codec to XAVC HD LongGOP 50 Mbps, and in the Frame Rate section, set the field order to Upper First.

Test of course ... always test! Do a short export and check what the file say perhaps in MediaInfo ... install that free utility, drop the exported file onto it, and then in MediaInfo's view options, select Tree View and see what you get.

I can tell some of the requirements were met, but stuff like the interlaced resolution, I don't really know. Does it seem like I'm on the right track?

Once you've selected the 'MXF OP1a' format in the Premiere Pro Export Settings window there should be an 'XDCam HD 50 NTSC 60i' preset in the 'preset' pulldown menu. 

That will give you 1920x1080 -  29.97fps upper field first, 2 channel 24 bit/48khz 24 bit audio.

Hopefully that should be all you need?

Hey, Steve, thanks for the reply. Someone else suggested XAVC HD LongGOP 50 Mbps. Would the preset you suggest be closer to the required specs?

Yes. The XDCam preset is likely to exactly be the specs the Network wants.

The only other thing you need to ensure is your sequence starts at timecode 00:00 which it likely does anyway.

The one I suggested is VBR, variable bit-rate. Steve's suggestion is CBR, so I would go with his.

Should I send to the festival the xmp file that is exported along with the video? I'm guessing no, but just to confirm...

No, they probably don't have any use or interest in that file.

i'm not using premiere pro cc, but an older version which doesn't have the wraptor 2k to produce a dcp format. how do i upgrade?
