How do I denest a sequence

I just park my Current Time Indicator (the play head) at the beginning of the nested sequence in my timeline. Then I double click the nested sequence to open it. Select all and copy. Then I go back to the first timeline and delete the nested sequence and the paste the clips I just copied from inside the nested sequence.
