New 2021 version Premier pro, impossible to open files from 2020 version

Hi,

I need your help because apparently the new 2021 versions of Premier Pro and After effect have installed on my computer but I can no longer open the files created on the 2020 versions. The error message tells me that the 2020 version needs to be installed to open the files. I used Premier Pro yesterday and had no problem to open a file made with the 2020 version.

As you noticed I know nothing about computers and softwares so I need very basic simple explanations.

This sounds odd. Have you tried havin both 2020 and 2021 installed? Also can you share a screenshot of the error message?

Thanks. Actually I've just realized that the former version has been
desinstalled (is it the word? I'm French) automatically. I'm trying to
re-install the former version, hoping it won't suppress the 2021 version.
