New pc - sdd setup for media cache

Hi everyone,

Im about to put together my new editing rig and looking at the following storage setup.

Ssd for OS

1tb nvme for current editing projects

1tb ssd for documents and projects on the backburner

1tb hdd (salvaged from an external caddy) for archived footage that I might need later. 

I have a 500gb ssd that I currently use in a caddy for editing so that will form my cache and media assets drive. 

Is it ok/good practice to format this ssd into for example 200gb assets and 300gb cache?
