Hi all

Today, I launched Premier 14.3 on my  Macbook running Mac OS 10.15.5 and unable to get any audio whatsoever in my timeline . I have tried the falling things to resolve:

  • Reinstalled Premier
  • Cleared media cache
  • Duplicate sequence and tested
  • Held option+shift during startup of premier to reset preferences and plug-in cache.
  • Made sure Preference > Audio harware is pointing to my macbook speakers.
  • Made sure audio files are not not muted on the timeline.
  • Checked my video files which are currently 1280x720 mp4 file with 44100hz compressed stereo so that they play outside of premier which they do.
  • Started a new project and imported clips.Still the same issue.
  • Created a new porject with bars and tones sequence. Still no sound.

Would appreciate any help.

Thank you.

Gus

Problem solved

Preferences > Playback > Audio Device - NewTec NDI output was selected as audio output.

So I set it to Adobe Destkop Audio, and it all began to work again.

I hope this helps others.

Good luck!

Most common user error is not source patching the track, solved by opening clip in source monitor first.
