No audio when importing AVCHD files into Premiere Pro 2020 - what a nightmare.

Hey guys, I'm wondering why audio isn't showing up when I import AVCHD files in PP 2020? Is there a simple fix? I tried to convert my AVCHD to Quicktime in Media Encoder and the audio still doesn't show up. What a nightmare.

I'm running Mac OS 10.14.6  with Premiere Pro 2020 14.3.1

Audio as on import into the Program or in the timeline.

If its the latter most common user error is not source patching the tracks.

Do you mean that I can choose to import audio when you I import a video file?
