Hello,

Premiere pro just updated to version 14.8.0 (Build 39) and since then it doesn't playback any clips on new or older projects. The play button doesn't change when pressed.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing with no success.

Any help would be appreciated since support is impossible to contact!

Cheers,

Notis.

What are the system specs(OS, RAM, CPU, GPU)? Do you have the latest premiere pro version??

Please try these steps and check if it helps.

My system's specs are the following:

OS: Windows 10 pro
RAM: 32GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-core
GPU: AMD Radeon R7 200 series
Application version: 14.8.0 (Build 39)

I 've tried the suggested solutions (reset app preferences and clean media
cache files) with no success.

Try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

None of these suggestions work.
Regarding the last one, I am anyway trying playback with a brand new
project.

Yes...I'm on a Mac and I have been experiencing this problem with this version and the one just previous. Using the BETA version does allow me to function normally. Although now I have to reset all my preferences AGAIN.
