Hi,

I have a major issue with the captions, It might be just me not being able to work it, but i dont seem to be able to change the font size etc. I can change fonts, but the sizing and all the other options just don't seem to be there.

Is there something that I'm missing?

I cannot seem to find a relevant topic on this so I'm just starting a new thread.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Yes, this can be a bit confusing. You have a 708 Closed Caption stream. The options for styling such captions are limited. The full range of styles is only available for the Subtitles caption type - what was called Open Captions in PR 2020 and earlier. Closed Captions are limited because they are generally intended for delivery methods that are inherently limited and/or leave the choices up to the viewer.

It does not explicitly warn you about th elimits for Closed Captions, but it does say at one point, "The default format option is Subtitle that allows you to create nice looking stylized subtitles that get burned into the video image, or can be exported as a sidecar."

In any event, just to see the differences, create a new, temporary Caption track and select as its type "Subtitle." You create a new track by right clicking in the caption track header area on the left, and pick Add Track. Add one caption. Double click the text for that caption in the Program Monitor, and you will see the many additional styling options.
