My timeline is not shown when going to editing tab

If this is a sequence you were working on before and now cannot see in the timeline, find the sequence in your Project Panel and double click on it to open it to the timeline.

If this is a new project and you are missing the timeline panel:

1)  Go to the menu Window > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout

or 

2)  Go to Window > Timelines
