Does anyone know if this graphics card is compatible and works well with Premiere Pro?
I understand that this question has been asked on several ocasions to no avail. If anyone knows please let us know.
It looks like it should work but the specs are low. It would be better to get an RTX 2060.
Actually, the T1000 is sold only as a mobile part. There are absolutely no desktop Quadros with the Turing architecture below the RTX 4000 at this time. All desktop Quadros priced below the RTX 4000 are of the older Pascal architecture.
Nvidia GPU nomenclature these days is confusing since the company discontinued the use of the "m" suffix for its mobile GPUs starting with Pascal.
The mobile T1000 is comparable in specs to the mobile GeForce GTX 1650.
I think an RTX 2060 would be a better investment. Better technology and better specs than a Quadro T1000.
The problem is that the thread starter is actually considering a laptop rather than a desktop. And with the particular model that I believe he was considering, a GeForce or an RTX GPU is not an option at all. There is, however, a gaming laptop from that same laptop company that includes a GeForce RTX GPU.
And do not include the P1000 link. The T1000 is a completely different GPU from the P1000. The T1000 is based on the low-end Turing GPU (TU117) that's used in the GeForce GTX 1650, while the P1000 was based on the older Pascal GPU (GP107) that was used in the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
And do note that there has never been a desktop Quadro T1000 at all (at least up to this point).
It's not compatible yet. I have one and get an error message saying it's unsupported every time I open PP.
Same here, will that be a problem in future?
All this goes back to the fact that some system OEMs failed to submit a sufficiently updated driver to Microsft's Microsoft Update Web site, and Windows (on every reboot) always wants to revert back to the old driver that's never been updated sufficiently at the Microsoft Web site. Worse, installing an updated driver directly from Intel's Web site will work, but then Windows all too often reverts back to the outdated driver on reboot.
And I have always warned against using Windows' built-in driver updater or anything similar from your computer manufacturer since neither company has access to a sufficiently updated driver version which Intel already has. What's more, the built-in Windows one checks only the Microsoft Web site for updated drivers, and will not even look into Intel's Web site. Same thing for your computer system manufacturer's utility (it searches only its own Web site, and won't even look at the chipmaker's site at all). As a result, those driver updaters think that your currently installed driver version is the "latest" even though it may be more than two years old.
Wondering if you got the T1000 working without the error message.
I had it running on a T2000 back in October without any issues.
I got it to work on my quadro 2000 found the fix on reddit..it actually involved manually updating the driver and not using the windows or the lenovo driver Manger like another poster touched upon.
