older project doesn't open

I have some older premiere files (about 2016) that when I try to open with the new version of Premiere, it crash and turn off. I use Macbook pro mid 2012 with Sierra. I don't understand why the new Premiere app crash.

Does it always crash when you try to open these old sequences?

Does it work fine when you tryo to make a new sequence?

yes, alwais crash when i try to open a project older, 2016. When I open a recent project it works well. I try to reinstall a new version of Premiere but is the same.

Have you tried installing previous version of Premiere and then opening the old sequqences?

Import old project instead of opening.

thank you, I tried but it imports only file in the documents part but no the timeline.

Look for the sequence in the project window and double click on it.
