Opening Adobe Premeire Pro timeline 2017 with Adobe Premeire 2019

I have tried opening the 2017 timeline SEQ with 2019 Adobe Pro. It has taken more than 6 hours to open. Should I quit the process and start again?

Very hard to work with this program. Hard to link the same files to new "improved" 2019 version. I get some strips in both after having worked in 2017.
