Hi, I am trying to move the image inside my mask without moving my mask - i read that you should use the pan behind tool but it doesnt work. I have tried pressing "Y" as suggested.

Can someone run me through please? I must miss something very easy -.-

Thank you!

I finally found a way around.

1- create my mask with the shape tool.

2 - nest my clip.

3 - apply the Track Matte key effet to my nested clip.

Then i can go to my nest clip and change the position of my video withouth affecting the position of the mask.

Are you asking this for Premiere or After Effects? The pan-behind tool is found in After Effects and this is the Premiere forum.

To move the video inside as shown in this tutorial, go the Effect Controls for the clip in Video Track one and adjust the Position coordinate as needed.

As mentioned before, Pan Behind is an After Effects tool.
