Playback Lagging

Whenever I am playing any footage (HD TO 8K) it's lagging and repeating frame but the same footage works fine in other applications such as Avid and Davinci. Is there any way to fix this issue?

try Preferences > Audio Hardware > Default Input => select "No Input"

Wonder why that would make a difference... My Premiere is already at that setting, and there is not other option. Strange.

I was just writing another post about the exact same problem after reinstal Premiere a thousand times when I found this solution here in the community. Thanks, saved my life ;D
