Premier Pro not responding then crash randomly

Hello everyone !

Since a few months now I've been having critical issues with Premier Pro and After Effetcs being not stable at all. I use those software professionally and this probleme makes me refuse a lot of request from my team to make videos because It takes me so long to do them with premier pro and after effects constenlty crashing and making me troubleshoot every time.

It became so bad that I'm now learning how to use Davinci Resolve because I just cant use Adobe video software at a professional level for now... But I know that the majority of people do not have this probleme so there is surely a solution, thats why I'm comming here for help !

The probleme is simple, I use premier pro for 10 to 20 minutes, than a simple action like adding a track, importing a file, creating a new element, anything really, makes Premier Pro "not responding" and then even If a wait an hour It wont come back and when I click on the red cross to close it it says that Premier Pro crashed. This probleme does not create a crash log (at least in the AppData/Adobe/PremierPro folder).

My computer is using windows and the hardware is : Ryzen 7 3800X, RTX 2070 Super, 32GB of 3600Mhz RAM, 2TB of NVME SSD, so I dont think it's a hardware probleme.

I've already tried completly uninstalling all adobe software and cleaning my PC, but it always come back and is still present across a lot of version of Premier available threw Creative Cloud Desktop App.

I hope someone has a solution or a few tips to help me out !

Thanks in advance !

Hey ! You can try to install these drivers for your RTX : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/results/167762/

It seems to fix the problems.

All the best,

Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean install of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Hello !

Thanks for your help ! After trying everything you suggested, it finally worked by reinstalling the studio driver using DDU to do a clean install.

After testing on two projects, I didn't have a single crash even after multiple consecutive hours of editing !

Thanks again for your help and have a nice day !
