Hello I'll try to be as brief as possible

I'm using Macbook pro-2020 with the highest specs possible and using the latest premier pro version.

I'm shooting with DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.  4k and codec H.264

whenever editing and I add a transition between clips, the playback always lags

I read online some solutions but none of them is working

I'm frustrated as I already have an expensive MacBook pro and yet I can't edit the 4k videos as smooth as I should

please help.

Even with a machine with high specs 4K H.264 especially drone footage will still be a pita to edit. Highly compressed. Might want to consider proxies or transcode to an I frame format for smooth editing.

Sorry even a fast MBP can't playback highly compressed 4K h.264 footage. Transcode to ProRes and you'll be a happy editor.
