Premiere 14.3 - app.encoder.bind is not a function

Our CEP panel breaks when we try to subscribe to AME events with app.encoder.bind after we have upgraded to 14.3. What is the alternative method to listen to these events? I see addEventListener on the encoder but not sure what the syntax is for different events and can't find those in the samples (PProPanel/jsx/PPRO/Premiere.jsx still shows bind).

Any help is appeciated.
