Premiere Crashing when linking media

I redownloaded some footage for a project and tried to link it, I can link maybe one or two of the missing pieces but 90% of them cause the software to crash, making this project unusable.

I've seen other people post about this issue with no responses, anyone have any experience with it and what's fixed it for you. This project was due today and now once again thanks to Premiere I have to delay something.

Premiere Pro 14.7

There is no error message, just a long freeze until I decide to force close the program

Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 7 1700X, 16GB Ram, GTX1070

Omg. Now everytime I attempt to export a DIFFERENT project, my entire computer crashes from Premiere Pro... 3 times in a row now. I had to update it to fix bugs from the previous versions and now this.

I'm glad I use Resolve for all my personal stuff, can't wait to get the business I work at to make the swap as well it's just progressively worse every year and every update.

I have the same exact issue.... can't find any way to resolve this issue. I keep asking why i pay for a program that crashes all the time.

There is apparently a problem with the latest Game driver from Nvidia, as several users have posted crashing issues where a driver change fixed the issue.

Anyone getting crashes or freezes or other odd behavior, if going to 'software only' in your project settings dialog changes the behavior, change drivers.

Go to the Nvidia driver support page, and download the STUDIO driver. Do a clean intall. If that doesn't work, roll back one Studio driver version.

I may have found a solution here.

It could be that the files in your AE project are also offline. Try re-linking the AE project first, then re-linking everything in Premiere.

This seemed to work for me,

Do you have any information regarding how to re-link the AE projects? All of my comps show they're linked in AE, but my Premiere bricks when I try to link media.
