Premiere CS6 and "Route Generator" prog

When using CS6 and Route Generator to produce Active Maps and then import into Premiere. All has been well until suddenly the Route Generator Active Map will not import properly into Premiere any more. It appears to import - but only a blank thumbnail appears and when putting this onto the timeline after a while CS6 crashes.

I have uninstalled the map prog and reinstalled to no avail.

There is no problem with importing the maps into Power Director or AVS video.

Any suggestions, please?  Pete

Not stills. It's an "Active Map" in avi format.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot the properties of your media in tree view:

If the file is variable frame rate, which although Adobe says it will support, many users are having issues with VFR.

Use Hand brake to convert to constant frame rate:

I was not aware that CS6 ever claimed to work with VFR video

You are correct.  I didn't modify my CC macro for CS6.

Thanks for your various kind replies. I will follow up but much of what you discuss is a bit over my head.

Thanks/ Pete
