Premiere Frozen

Hi,

Since I upgraded to the latest version of Premiere, I can't play any clips, either in the program monitor nor in the source monitor. When I scroll the video is moving, when I hit the play button, the picture is in both monitors frozen. Audio is there.

Importing old projects into a new one, does not fix it either.

I'm using a AMD Ryzen 3950 System with 128 GB of Ram and a Nvidia RTX 2070 Super graphics card.

I can play all video files in  Davinci Resolve, regardless the size or resolution.

Hi marcuss10192960,

Thanks for reaching out.

There are several reasons that could cause this. To start, please try:

  1. Resetting the preferences of Premiere Pro: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-premiere-pro/td-p/...
  2. Removing the media cache: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-clear-your-media-cache-in-30-seconds-in-premi...

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu
