Premiere Pro 15.0 Subtitle background

I would like the background to follow the length of each line, when I have more than one line og text.

In the latest version of Premiere Pro (15.0) the subtitel background is determined by the longest line, so both lines get one big black box.

Previously the background was a little wider than each line individually as is the standard here in the Scandinavian countries. So now my subtitles look wrong/bad with the new update.

Is there a way around this issue?

No, that is the current implementation.
