After ugrading to Premiere Pro 15.0 I no longer have control over the timeline.

i.e. I can't move the playhead, can't zoom in/out.

If I click on a specific place in the timeline the playhead in the monitor moves but doesn't move in the timeline until I hit the space bar.

Any ideas anyone?

Couple of things you can do:

FAQ: Clearing Cache Method Premiere Pro v14 « DAV's TechTable

FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences.

Reset workspace.

Make new project import old one.

Turn off H.264/264 encoding/decoding in Preferences.

Make sure you have the latest graphics card driver (Nvidia studio driver not game driver).

Thank you Ann. A simple reset of preferences did it. Just had to do the same in Photoshop too!
