Premiere crashes when opening even the most simple existing project.

I always have to create a new project and then import the existing one.

..this is quite annoying!

Never had this problem before until this last update.

I'm having the same problem since updating PP and Catalina OS.  Now PP freezes after the projects list window.  But my work around is a project that is empty - without any linked media - that opens and then I'm able to open my other existing projects.  Clearly something to do with the media.

Hi there!

I contacted adobe. They told me that the latest PP 14.6. is still in beta.

My solution was to "downgrade" back to 14.5.

Everything works fine now (again).

Maybe that´ll help you too?

Kind regards,

Chris.

Thanks for that Chris.  The workaround using an "empty" project is fine for now - not a big hassle.  Was just curious if anyone else had the problem and what solutions people have come up with.
