Hello, I have a question. Does the latest version of premiere support mkv directly or through a plugin or is there planned support for it (I did see it didn't support it in the trial but that could just be a limitation of the trial version, wouldn't be the first ones to do it that way). I am asking to see if I should buy it or a different editing software as I mainly get mkv files and I don't really wanna spend 48hours converting them if I pay for the software. Thanks in advance

You can use ffmpeg to rewrap .mkv into a .mov or .mp4 without transcoding. Here is setup I use: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Andr88T403SpgRL5G8nDA5pXK_Vf?e=dwpceJ
