I know the workaround by create a new project and import the old one, but this is just ridiculous!! Anyone knows what's happening? Any tricks to prevent this? Thanks.

Hi there!

We're sorry about the trouble. Would you mind sharing more information about the issue?

  • What are your system specs (OS, CPU, RAM, GPU)?
  • Does it happen with a specific project or, is it random?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

  • What are your system specs (OS, CPU, RAM, GPU)?

- My OS is Windows 10 Pro v2004, i7-7700K, 64 GB RAM, GTX 1080

  • Does it happen with a specific project or, is it random?

- It happens to most of my projects, even the newly created ones. For example, I created a new project and import the old one on Wednesday, but when I open this new project on Thursday, it got stuck again. So I create another 'New Project' and import the one I created on Wednesday and still got stuck when I open this on Friday. Endless loop.......

delete all the render files of that previous project, you can manually delete them from the 'previews' folder

Try opening Pr, but before you open any projects, go to Preferences>Media Cache and delete all your cache files.

Hi Ng5E37,

Sorry for your issue.

If the suggestions mentioned by experts doesn't help, try this:

  1. Open Premiere Pro.
  2. Navigate to Window > Workspaces > uncheck Import Workspace from Projects.
  3. Try to open your project.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu
