Hi Omar,

Sorry about your issue. First of all, this post is almost two years old. Likely you have different hardware and a different software version. Since you did not create a new post and gave us zero info, we need full details about your computer system (CPU, GPU, RAM) and the media you are using. Please give us screenshots of any frozen splash screens, logs, crash reports, or error dialog boxes. Embed the images in this post.

Once we have those details, do the following:

  • Please let us know if you have any third-party plug-ins installed. If so, try removing them temporarily and restarting the application once more. Does it start up now?
  • You might also try deleting the media cache from the OS.
  • Finally, resetting preferences can work for getting out of this issue.

Could you give us more info so we can help? If you need help with the steps, please let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Happened to me today. I fixed it by starting a new project and putting the renderer to mercury playback software only. Then open a new project.  I put the renderer back to gpu acceleration and it worked from there on.  Good Luck.

Whoa, cool, Boka! Thanks for reporting on this. What kind of system do you have? AMD or Intel CPU? NVIDIA or AMD GPU? Or are you on a Mac? This post is mostly PC, I think.

Thanks,
Kevin
