Premiere Pro not playing media until I delete the preferences folder in My Documents

Hello

I have been having the same problem for months now, every time trying to reach support and resulting in the problem being solved for a few hours and then repeats.

Basically what happens is that when I load a project, none of the sequences play, if I try to hit the play button it either does nothing, or plays while not showing the media.

I'm on Windows 10 with nVidia RTX 2080 Ti

Support tried to:

1- Disable H274/HEVC hardware acceleration

2- Disable/Enable mercury engine

3- Update premiere

4- Update windows

5- Remove preferences folder from My Documents

6- Remove preferences folder from the Roaming folder

7- Changing the video folder's path

The only solution that works is #5, which means I have to remove the pref folder before every time I load premiere pro.

The other thing that works is waiting 5-6min after loading Premiere Pro and then it gets released/runs normally.

Anybody has the same experience and maybe knows how to solve this?

Make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

It is indeed the latest driver, Studio version. Was always updated, but this weird freeze still happens
