Hello guys!
I have this very annoying issue:
PP uses 99% of my RAM.
No matter what I do while editing.

I already set PP to use 16GB maximum

but that didn't help.
It crashes or slows down drammatically

makes me wanna throw my pc outta the window...

Can't finish any project for the last 2 weeks now.

it's a nightmare.

My PC spec is
Win10 pro

I5-7400K

32GB RAM

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB
500GB SSD on M2

...

Any help, please?

The GTX 1050 ti is a mediecore GPU. Having said that are you trying to edit 4K Apple Pro Res, BRAW, H.264?

Hi Andy, Yes, it's 4K videos. However the project is in full hd.

The source video is 4K mov H.264.

4GB DDR5 on GPU you're saying it's not enough for that?

Well, it's not a real 4K, it's 3840x2160 😉 It's UHD actually but so called 4K 😉
anyway is there anything I can do with this?

I'm behind with editing, basically I'm switched off from work.
Don't know what to do...

Pro Res, R3D and BRAW are larger files than H.264 and it takes more RAM to buffer the frames. That being said what results do you get with other video codecs? Even though your RAM is getting pegged at 100% I doubt buying more RAM will help. 32GB should work just fine. I will admit the RAM could be glitchy. The video below might be worth watching.
