Premiere Pro v14.8 not recognising AVCHD video

I updated Premiere Pro to v14.8. I have been working on videos using AVCHD. When I try to locate the files i search in the SD card and all it does is search but then just freezes. I then tried to create a new sequence and import the AVCHD files just to start over, but when I go to import it doesn't even have my SD card in the options.

Please Help.

Dont search the card but pop the card in a cardreader copy/paste content to hdd first then ingest.
