Thanks for the update!!!

First it started with Media Encoder now Premiere is not opening.

I'm using iMac 27 inch Late 2013 macOS Catalina, 24GB RAM and Geforce GTX 780M 4GB

Beefore the update it was working like a charm.

Now it doesn't even open.

Thank you so much....

Hello everyone, I've found the problem. Third Party Plugins..

now it is working. thank you all.

here is how I fixed;

I deleted the third party plugins which was located /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore here. now it is working.

I hope that works for the ones who need.

Uninstalling all the products and then installing again will take more thatn a day for me but if you are really sure about it I would give it a try.

Are you sure?

Before you uninstall/reinstall...

After a Pr update or a macOS update, Pr can take up to 5 minutes to open the first time after the update. I don't know why, but it happened to me after a couple of Catalina updates and again after updating to Big Sur.

So launch Pr, then go get a cup of coffee and check your email. Pr might be open by the time you get back. 😀

Once you do get Pr open, and *before* you open any projects, go to Preferences>Media Cache and delete all of the media cache files.

Thank you Jeff, I wish that would be a solution, but even before I get the cup the premiere closes itself :).

I tried too many times.

This is what happens all the time.

I've opened premire2020 and deleted all the cache files. I even deleted the Luts and other templates.

But result with the premiere 2021 still the same.

Hi Jeff I've found the solution, deleted the third party plugins.

 /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore here.

now it is working.

Now it opened before I even take a sip from my coffee :))

That's great news! Well done.

Do you remember which 3rd party plugin(s) caused the problem? I only have the SonicFire pro plugin and it doesn't cause any problems.

It's also possible that clearing the plugin cache, not removing the plugin(s) entirely, may have helped get Pr started.

I've found old red giant plugins and I'm pretty sure they caused the problem.
