This is a problem I have had for months now. After closing Premiere, it remains open in the background using as much as 4GB of RAM. It also does some weird stuff, like making me unable to open the Windows Start menu and being unable to search in File Explorer. I should also note that I have to spam click the End Task button if I want to open Premiere again or fix the weird issues, and even after that it doesn't close. I need to put an end to this problem as it has made editing very hard.

Thank you.

You're talking to other users here, if you want adobe, you can try their online, support/chat or phone support, etc.

I'm not having that problem. You didn't mention which version you are on, perhaps you could do a clean install of Adobe products. You'll loose your preferences and some other items (not projects or files). If you want you can trash the preferences first and see if that helps, also you can clear your cache and PP will rebuild it as needed. As for a clean install:

Run the Adobe Cleaner after you uninstall the programs and before you re-install them:
Also, reboot your computer between steps even if you are not asked to...

Sorry about that. I'm on version 15.2

Would you please link their online support/chat?
