Hello everyone,
I've recently purchased 2 4K monitors to use and since installing them I am experiencing timeline lag when editing. I want to specify that this is timeline and edit lag only, not playback lag. My videos playback fine, only when I edit do I get a delay. I receive about a half second delay when cutting on the timeline, or deleting a clip.
If I resize the premiere window down a good bit, or change my desktop settings to a smaller resolution this goes away. Neither are good solutions to me as I would like to keep the native 4K workspace. This happen no matter what media I have on the timeline. I have experienced it with MP3 files, ProRes movie files, MP4 video files and even JPG files.
My system is as follows:
Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6
Macbook Pro 15 inch 2017
3.1 i7 procesor
16 gb ram
Radio Pro 560 4096 MB ram
Displays are 2 samsung U28E590 set at 3840 x 2160 at 60 hertz refresh rate
Premiere Pro is version 12.1.1 build 10
Has anyone experienced this issue? Does anyone have a fix?
Also, just FYI I do not experience the same issue when running Final Cut Pro X.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello @joen40029404 , you posted this 2 years ago but got no answer, did you find a way to fix it? I'm having the same problem 😞
