Premiere version 14.5 starts up normally] but I can't edit timelines and space bar will not play

Preimere starts up as usual but it wont play when I use the spacebar and I can't edit anything on the timeline. I've re-installed it and updated the OS to no avail.

there have been quite a few reports of issues when you have floating panels.   so try closing any floating panels and just use docked panesl
