I've been using Premier for a few years and have never encountered this problem before so I'm hoping someone will have more experience on the matter than I.

I'm currently working on a music video and the editor has sent me his timeline as an XML. (Originated out of Final Cut Pro) I can import the XML just fine in Davinci but if I try anything in Premier it can't link media and only gives me one file option to link. I've tried importing the media first but this makes no change. What am I doing wrong?

Another odd thing I'm noticing is the audio files link immediately. Why won't this work for video?

Can you let us know if your Premiere is up to date. Also what version of Final Cut Pro you're receiving the XML from.
