I've updated the Premier. But the preview doesn't play. There's a sound, but I can't see the footage. What should I do?

you should tell everyone you are wealthy via trust fund and ask everyone to contribute to your new book, 'the complete idiots guide to computer editing programs'

you can outline it beforehand so you can include ALL editing programs in general.

a) open editing program

b) select source material (media) you want the program to recognize

c) import selected media to program

d) look at the stuff in source monitor

e) decide what to do ( this is tricky cause you have to think about the overall source materials at your disposal ).

 

tell the story.

 

but you need the basics of what's going on and unfortunately adobe is not helping much in that line of work... they are not coordinated between their market share desires and their ability to EDUCATE people ( especially the big pie chart section of young people ) about the BASICS.

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work,try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean install of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
