Hi there,
Quick question regarding working between PC & MAC on Premiere. My editing team goes between both PC and MAC operating systems when working on big edits. Does this workflow slowdown the process at all in terms of performance. We've noticed that when we do a general assembly on a PC, then bring it over to MAC for the final edit -- it tends to slow the MAC computer down drastically. Has anyone else run into this issue? Could it be a cache issue? Are the operating systems conficting somehow? We use a custom PC with a solid build and an M1 MAC Mini.
Thanks everyone!

I should also note that export times are greatly increased....a 5 sec pro res clip now takes 15 min to export.
Thanks in advanced everyone.

Instead of using Metal maybe it is using Open GL.

So we should be using Metal to export?

I think Metal is supossed to be better for GPU acceleration. Exporting is decoding and requires Nvenc or Quick Sync when using H.264. Everything needs to be tweaked.
