Anyone experience this...
When trying to re-open a project file after a crash, (including all "Auto Save" project files) Premiere hangs in the same spot and never opens. I cant imagine a corrupt file with 10-15 auto saves would corrupt ALL files at the exact same time when the auto saves are days old. I feel like the file is looking for something since all the auto save files hang in the same spot.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
You can force it to open offline if you have all your assets in one folder and rename that folder before you open. Or, if you have all assets scattered one one or more diskĀ“s you can change drive letter in Disk Management if you are on Windows. If you are only using external drives, un-plug them before opening the project.
Pros - You can hopefully open the project and find/fix whatĀ“s wrong.
Cons - You must manually relink all assets again. If they are scattered all over the place it will take

Auto-save auto-saves corruptions also. It's why it's not actually that great a service. So ... have you tried opening Premiere, creating a new project, using the Media Browser panel to navigate to the old project file and import bits of it? That might work.

Thank you. I have been able to recover files from Auto Save on several occasion without corruption from the orginal file. This is the first time I've experienced this particlular error. Its almost as if the file is looking for linked files and catching something that is corrupt or that it no longer likes. Very annoying.
