Project won't open after locating media

I'm trying to open an old video file (2020) that the client now wants another video using all the same footage. I've since updated Premiere Pro and am using the 2021 version. After I locate all the media the window just sits there instead of opening my file. My mouse won't even spin like it's thinking. It will locate all the media but just not open the file. I also tried to open it in the 2020 version and get the same results. Please let me know if you need any more info, I'm a beginner.
