Proxy workflow TeamProject .xmp nightmare

I'm working on creating a workflow where I put the proxies on creative cloud and the Native Footage on my local drives. I do a Team Project so that when the files are synched via CreatCloud they can edit with the proxies. I want my journalists dans editors to be able to add and change some of the metadata from their end but can't seem to be able to synch de .xmp files. The metadata in "clip" works but not the .xmp. And if an editor form home copy a music file to the cloud, I can see that some metada in the ".xmp" is visible from my end.

Please help! How is metada manage on Team Project?
