Since updating my premier pro to the new update released (2020) I've experienced 3 times slower rendering times. I'm using a Mac book pro(2020). It sometimes takes up to 3 hours to export a video, when before the new update it only took 10-20 minutes. It's gotten so bad I'm considering switching to a different program. Will this problem be addressed with the new update?

It,

I apologize for your continued frustration. I still do not have any specs on your system and media. Kindly provide those for help. I would like to assist you.

System: If you are indeed meeting spec, be sure to delete media cache, trash preferences, and reset R/W permissions. Still having trouble? Try another user account.
Media: Transcode footage to ProRes LT as a test.
Still problems? Create a new project. Import the legacy project into the new project.

Return with any results. If you have a crash report handy, if you have time, upload it and provide a link so I can forward it on to those that can help further.

Thank You,
Kevin

Smoove,
Check Project Settings to ensure that your GPU is selected for Mercury Engine Playback GPU Acceleration, OK? Let us know. Some specs on the mac and source media wouldn't hurt to know. 😉

Thanks,
Kevin
