RED footage, "Reload from RMD" not working with v 15.0 (and 14.9)

A few updates ago Premiere changed the default for RED footage from how it was shot, to how Premiere thinks users want their footage to be imported. The Output Transform settings on the master tab for clips shot in IPP2 now default to Color Space: REDWideGamutRGB and Gamma Curve: Log 3G10. A major annoyance for anyone like me that set the look in-camera to Rec.709 and BT.1886 and expected that to carry forward through the import. The old way was great for a quick sequence stringout to deliver to the client. The solution after the defaults were changed was to click "Reload from RMD" to get the clip back to how it was shot in-camera. Now that isn't working. Can someone explain why?

probably has to do with using lut in camera which is kinda subjective and questionable maybe.

adobe traditionally works in rec 709 space ( program window for video , called program monitor ).

they probably want to give people option of color management and haven't figured it out yet for everyone.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the whole idea was to give users a base for color management after they imported RED footage. But to just switch it up like that after so many years and not think about the people who liked it the other way kind of sucks. Also, there are no LUTS you set in the RED cameras. You can set everything in-camera from saturation to color space, but it's not what you think of as a traditional LUT.
