Rendering footage error transcode failure

Hey I want to render my footage because otherwise it is too slow to cut. I rendered a few of the clips but now after the 5th clip (same settings etc) it sais *the operation could not be completed due to some errors.* The event panel said *encoder failure* My settings are source: preset, format : quick time, preset : GoPro blah blah... when I change these to the normal mode source: Sequence etc it sais * transcode failure. Unable to match video aspect. * I restarted and tried all the basic things. There might be an easy solution but I do not know. Please help
