Rolling edits and Slip edits

Hi,

I'm new to PP and have two questions.

One, when pressing N for rolling edits and placing the cursor between two shots I am not getting the dual monitor to display.  Is there something in settings/preferences that I am missing?

Two, when pressing Y for slip edit and hovering over the desired clip, the click & drag to move frames in either direction seems clunky to me, moving c.3-5 frames at a time rather than just 1.  Is there an adjustment to make to obtain better refinement?

Thank you, DC

  1. The dual monitors will display once you start dragging the edit point.
  2. Turn Snap (S is the shortcut key) off. You can also use the horseshoe magnet icon in the timeline header.
