I'm having an issue when I export an XDCAMHD 50 (NTSC) MXF with embedded captions from a 608 SCC (Scenarist) file on the timeline... In the "captions" tab, in the export dialog, the caption output box shows SCC (it is greyed out, as it is set for embedded captions). However, when it is queued to Adobe Media Encoder, the embedded SCC captions have been switched to Mac Closed Captions (.mcc)
In AME, I have tried changing "embedded" to "sidecar" just to see the options, and the only format options lsited were MCC, XML, and SRT. Our broadcast servers only recognize the SCC data. I have used this workflow previously with great success. Currently, I can occasionally export directly from premiere, when the captions dialog box says it is doing Scenarist Closed Captions (.scc)
Any idea why I can't get SCC captions consistently?
Thanks
