Scrubbing issue in timeline, effect controls and more

Out of no where, I have lost the ability to scrub my playhead in my timeline, program motnitor or source monitor. I have also lost the ability to click and scrub through all numbers in my effects control and Lumetri. It's as if my mouse doesnt grab and hold, yet I can scrub no problem in photoshop and other applications. Adobe's customer support has kept pushing this issue aside so I thought I would try my luck here. Has anyone experienced this and found a way around it?

In the video below, you see my attempts to scrub on the timeline and monitors and I click, hold, scrub and then the playhead just ends up where I release my click. In the effect controls I click, hold, scrub to the left and to the right and when I release my mouse it's like my courser hasn't moved, just clicked once on the number. It's bizare.

Did you run the Adobe Cleaner after you uninstalled PP?

Be sure to run the Adobe Cleaner after you uninstall the programs and before you re-install them:
Also, reboot your computer between steps even if you are not asked to...

Thanks for this @Ann Bens

I have already reset preferences and uninstalled and re-installed the software. I've also screen shared with adobe support and they don't seem to understand the issue. I guess my hopes are someone out there has experienced this issue and found a way to resolve it.

DC,

Have you deleted media cache? Checked Audio Hardware preferences for Input set to No Input?

Thanks,
Kevin

@Kevin-Monahan I have tried both and completed both before and after resetting preferences and re-installing the software.

@MyerPj - so strange. I did this first after it was suggested by Adobe support and no luck. I just re did it and it worked! It may have been an update on Adobe's side, but at this point – I am just happy everything is working again!
