please help me. I'm trying to edit a video, downloaded from Facebook in Premiere Pro. Audio is slow and distorted and I have no idea why. I created a sequence directly from the video so the frame rate should be matching that of the video. Absolutely none of the solutions on here have helped me. I seriously need to edit this video for an internship I'm just starting out in. This is the first video edit they gave me and I'm already experiencing this issue.

What's the sample rate of the downloaded video please?
'social' media is great at using non-standard sample rates, so this may well be the issue here.
To find out, go gran yourself a copy of the free & invaluable 'mediainfo' tool.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Hand brake to convert to constant frame rate:
