Hi Jaw327,

I agree completely. PP 2017 has been a complete disaster for me too.

Sluggish editing, crashes and now it has started to freeze on saving the current project. My current 30sec TVC project is nothing more than a series of 5DmkIII videos with an mp3 music bed. No transitions, just jump cuts every second or so. Premier has crashed 4 times in the last 30mins.

I downloaded DaVinci Resolve and tried it out - no problems at all, fast and as smooth as silk. What have Adobe done to Premier Pro?

I will complete my current project and roll back to an earlier version or consider switching to Resolve. 2015.3 was rock solid and never gave me these issues. I must say the 2017 versions of Premier and Photoshop have been every unstable for me... and I've tried everything, run as administrator, clear cache and preferences, turned off GPU acceleration, etc, etc.

Hi CBenci,

Is this poor performance experienced with a brand new project or an updated one?

Thanks,
Kevin
