Hi , I'm working on a 10 minute film.

Had the captions done by Rev, which was great, I have the SRT file.

I import it, add to the new caption timeline, ok.

Some the the sentances are cut off, some lines are double lined which is fine but the single lines which are slightly longer get cut off.

I'm trying to figure out how to make them appear, tried using essential graphics but can't figure it out at all.

also, anyone know how to put a opaque background behind the captions, all I seem to get is a very light grey which you can hardly see, or a solid black one.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

J.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Premiere Pro forum so that proper help can be offered.

Can you please share your system info? Like OS and version, CPU, RAM, GPU vRAM, Pr version? Thanks. Also a screen grab of your issue will be helpful.

In the meantime this might give you something to start with:

What is your final purpose for the captions? Embed, burning, sidecar?

You created a 608 closed caption stream. These are limited to 32 characters per line, and that is what is being shown inyour "Ok russell" caption.

If you need 608, I would think Rev can give you a file formatted that way.

Edit: Forgot to add; the method and options for background will vary a bit depending on the type of stream.
